Overview
All digital templates, UI components, layouts, and source code packages available on PrebuiltUI are licensed, not sold.
When you download a free template or purchase a premium template, PrebuiltUI grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use, customize, and deploy the template according to the license terms outlined below.
License Tiers
1. Free License
Granted automatically when downloading any free template or copying free UI components from PrebuiltUI:
- Usage: Allowed for unlimited personal and commercial end products.
- Client Projects: Permitted for client websites and freelance deliverables.
- Redistribution: You may not redistribute, re-license, or share the template source code as a standalone downloadable template or UI kit.
- Attribution: Attribution to PrebuiltUI is appreciated but not required.
2. Standard License (Single End Product)
Granted with the standard single-purchase tier of a premium template:
- Usage: Use the template to create one (1) single End Product for either personal use or for a single client.
- Modifications: You may freely edit, modify, combine with other code, and rebrand the template for that specific project.
- Commercial Monetization: You can charge end users for access to the completed SaaS application or commercial web service built with the template.
- Subsequent Projects: If you wish to build a second separate project or website with the template, an additional license must be purchased.
3. Extended License (Multi-Project & Agency)
Granted with the extended multi-use tier of a premium template:
- Usage: Use the template in multiple End Products (both personal and commercial client deliverables).
- Agency & Freelancers: Ideal for agencies and freelancers building distinct websites or applications for multiple clients.
- Client Transfer: You may transfer the finished End Product to your client, provided they use it solely for that deployment and cannot re-extract the template source files for new projects.
4. Developer / Organization License
- Usage: Unlimited commercial projects, internal tools, and applications developed within your company or organization.
- Team Access: Multiple developers and team members within the same entity may collaborate on projects using the template.
What You Can Do (Permitted Uses)
Under our licenses, you are welcome and encouraged to:
- Build Commercial Products: Create websites, SaaS platforms, web applications, landing pages, and ecommerce stores for yourself or your clients.
- Customize Freely: Modify source code, components, CSS styles, layouts, routing, database integrations, and branding to fit your project requirements.
- Bundle with Backend Logic: Integrate backend services, authentication, databases, third-party APIs, and proprietary algorithms into your application.
- Deploy to Production: Host and deploy the customized application on any hosting provider (such as Vercel, Netlify, AWS, Cloudflare, or self-hosted servers).
What You Cannot Do (Restrictions)
To protect the integrity of our platform and ecosystem, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
- No Resale or Redistribution: You may not resell, sublicense, rent, bundle, or distribute the template source code, UI components, or modified derivatives as a standalone template, theme, UI kit, or design asset on any marketplace or website.
- No Public Code Repositories: You may not publish or host the raw source files of paid templates in public repositories on GitHub, GitLab, or any open-access code sharing platform. (Private repositories are fully permitted).
- No Competing Products: You may not use PrebuiltUI templates or components as the core building blocks to create a directly competing component library, template marketplace, or theme directory.
- No Standalone Asset Extraction: End users of your application must not be able to extract the raw template files or use them as a separate design system.
Definition of an "End Product"
An End Product is a customized, functional website, web application, SaaS platform, or digital service that incorporates your own content, branding, and business logic, where the original template has been integrated as an underlying structure rather than sold as a raw design template or kit.
Intellectual Property and Ownership
All copyrights, trademarks, design rights, and intellectual property in the original PrebuiltUI templates, code snippets, documentation, and assets remain the exclusive property of PrebuiltUI. Purchasing a license grants you usage permissions as described herein, but does not transfer copyright ownership.
License Revocation and Termination
PrebuiltUI reserves the right to terminate your license immediately without refund if you violate any terms of this agreement, including unauthorized redistribution, public code leaking, or copyright infringement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the template and delete all copies of the source files in your possession.
